Positive: Charming and quaint hotel in excellent location. Right in the center of San Jose del Cabo. Reception was exceptional and maintenance kept the place clean and tidy.
Negative: The room we booked had a kitchenette but unfortunately it was not available due to remodeling. We were placed in main building and no kitchenette was available in our room.

Positive: Room was nice and clean and far enough off the main drag that it wasn't too loud. And the staff was very nice. It was just a quick overnight so we didn't really use the facilities, but the pool is beautiful. Great location, just steps to all the fun restaurants and galleries.

Positive: Truly beautiful property. This isn't a five star corporate venture but rather a tastefully decorated character boutique. Architecture and style are stunning. Of all my travels over past 5 years this property is in top 3. Perfect romantic get away for a couple. Arts/Gallery neighbouhood, adjacent plaza and wide selection of restaurants round out the experience.

Negative: Loud music on the weekend from nearby through out the until approximately 4 a.m. We have had stayed here in the past and had the same experience. Would we return. The answer is yes. The location in old town San Jose del Cabo is great, the restaurant adjoining El Encanto is has great food, service and ambience.

Positive: Just beautiful Spanish colonial. Cute and charming during the day, a beautiful property and rooms really, but if you plan to get a restful sleep at night this is not the place for you
Negative: There is a restaurant right on property which is nice to have as far as convenience, but when we were there unfortunately, they hosted a private party that went well into the morning hours (past 2am) With a DJ, (imagine booming bass, screaming microphone, karaoke, hollering party guests) windows vibrating) this in the open courtyard beyond pool area. We called hotel number on booking. Com site finally at 1:30 am when we could no longer take it and spoke with manager and the party was moved inside ,but still continued past 2am it really made it impossible to sleep at all, even with ear plugs and pillows over your head. So frustrating. It seems highly inconsiderate to hotel patrons at that hour and hotel says they can not control that (?) it is what it is, and it will continue even into unreasonable time frames, so keep that in mind. The street noise and restaurant noise is LOUD, and extremely close all around where hotel is situated not just the one that is in the courtyard. That’s part of the appeal of the live music at all the restaurants, and it’s all open air just so you know.
